Who we are

JJ&Co Cousins & Canines is a small pet-care business providing dog walking, drop-ins and pet sitting in Pudsey and surrounding Leeds areas.

For data-protection purposes, JJ&Co Cousins & Canines is responsible for deciding how the personal information we hold about clients and enquirers is used.

What information we may collect

Depending on how you contact or book with us, this may include:

• information you give us in an enquiry, message or booking request;
• details about your pets, their routines, behaviour, care needs, medication or veterinary information;
• information needed to safely provide care in your home, such as access instructions or emergency contacts;
• booking, invoice and payment records;
• messages and correspondence between you and JJ&Co; and
• basic technical information created when you use a website, such as security or server logs, where our hosting provider produces these.

• complete our enquiry form;
• contact us by email, WhatsApp or social media;
• book one of our services;
• complete client or pet-care information; or
• make a payment or discuss an invoice with us.

Our online enquiry journey uses Google-hosted services. If you follow links to services such as Google, Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp, those services may also process information under their own privacy policies.

Why we use your information

We use personal information to:

• respond to enquiries and arrange meet & greets;
• set up and manage bookings;
• provide safe, tailored care for your pets;
• contact you about walks, visits, pet sitting, changes or emergencies;
• send pupdates where this forms part of the service;
• issue invoices, record payments and keep appropriate business records;
• deal with questions, complaints or service issues; and
• keep our systems, website and business secure.

Our lawful bases

UK data-protection law requires us to have a lawful reason for using personal information. The bases most likely to apply to JJ&Co are:

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, the relevant provider is responsible for using appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
